    Anti-ransomeware program

    • A ransomware attack is a type of cyber-attack where malicious software (ransomware) is used to block access to a computer system or data, often by encrypting the files. The attacker then demands a ransom from the victim to restore access to the data, often with the threat of permanently deleting or publicly releasing the data if the ransom isn't paid.

    • Another form of more sophisticated ransomware attack is called double extortion ransomware attack.

    • The victims confronted by double extortion ransomware attack not only have their data being encrypted and stolen. Even the victim agrees to pay the ransomware and decides to restore their data from backups, the attackers still kept a copy of the stolen data. The attacker then threaten to publish or sell this sensitive information if the full or additional ransom isn't paid.

    • An effective way of detecting and responding is based on the behavioral analysis of the software. Advance defense solutions such as end-point detection and response system provide real-time detection and is “always-on”.

    • For best result, you need an experienced partner to help you deploy, configure and fine-tune this advance solution to wisely distinguish the legitimate software (good guy) with the malicious software (bad buy).

    • Emerging threat can also be identified with other cybersecurity threat intelligent sources so that the defensive policy can cope with changing attack technique.
